Its Winter

Its winter for sure up here.  Jared found an icicle that was hanging on the roof he was able to break it off without breaking it.  Holy cow its taller than Sara.

Jared and his icicle sword.
Its been cold up here for sure.   Glad its starting to warm up.  I was out and about today and I heard someone say " its so nice and warm out today"  it was 28 degrees, but compared to last week when it was
-15 to -20 degrees I guess 28 feels like a heatwave.

I have been busy coming up with different thinks to entertain the kids, you can only play so many video games and watch so much TV, and with the weather being so cold we had to do some in door activities.  The other day I was making hot glue snowflakes, wow lots of fun but lots of work too.  Jared had the idea to make hot glue snowmen so this it what we did we made hot snowman ornaments.  I think they turned out pretty cute.
Our little snowman family of ornaments

Then I got a wild hair and tried to do a paper cone wreath using paper I had on hand no place to buy scrapbook paper up here.  Its kind of cheesy but the girls liked it so I hung in up.  Not much else going on up here, just staying warm and enjoying the snow.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I can't believe it our little girl is 7!  Where has the time gone?  She is a sweetheart and very loving.  She is a daddy's girl for sure and a very girly girl.   She had a pink and purple cake with chocolate frosting with huckleberry ice cream the cake looks kid of sad but tasted so yummy I wish I would have taken a picture of the inside of the cake it was a checkerboard cake.  We celebrated her birthday a day early because of Thanksgiving.   So glad it is on Thanksgiving every 7 years instead of every year.

A week ago she lost her top tooth.   Now if only she can loose the other one before Christmas.

Its that time of year!

This is what last Friday was like.  LOTS of SNOW, and yes its still here!  Jared loves to shovel snow too, even when we don't have a snow shovel.  Guess what I got Saturday you got it two new snow shovels.  That way both boys can shovel and get the job done quick!

Its winter wonderland up here.   LOVE IT!

1st Choir Concert

Yesterday was Jonathan 1st choir concert.  They had choir workshop all day yesterday, where choirs from the district come together and learn from guest conductors and then do a concert at night.  So seeing as Teton was the host it was no stretch to go to the concert.  It was AWESOME!!!!  WOW can those kids sing.  For Middle school  their choir uniform is a tux,  So of course I had to get a picture.  Jonathan said on the way home   " I like this suit. . . it makes me feel like James Bond".   I think his coat might be a little short in the sleeves or maybe they just weren't pulled down, anyway I thought he looked great.

Then today they did a Veteran's Day program  I went to 3 of them and took my poor little girls with me.  Rachel didn't feel well, so she stayed home from school and had to sit through 3 programs we left at 8:45 and didn't get home until after noon.   Of the 3 programs we went to the Middle schools was the best, (no it not that my son was in the choir and the band although that helps) it was the songs that were played and sang and the Veteran that spoke.  It was fun to go to the different programs and see the different ways the kids honor the Veteran's, I don't ever remember doing that and I am glad that my kids get to participate in programs that honor the Veteran's.
