Scrap books

Well I was able to get 2 more pages done today. The first ones of this week are of 2003 4th of July in Driggs. How funny to be living up here as I am scrap booking a picnic from up here almost 6 years ago. The other 2 pages are of Rachels wild hair do back in March of 2007. Yes I am so behind. That is why I am trying to do 2 pages a day except on the week-ends, unless we have a big scrap day on a Saturday hint, hint, hint. It is late and I am not usually on the computer this late but I had a minute or so to myself and I took it. Big day tomorrow going to I.F. lots of shopping and a wedding in the afternoon hope we get everything done before so we can just head for home after the wedding. We need to get to church on time!!! It is so frustrating, that is the only day the kids will sleep in and they can't it is hard to get them up. Why can't they sleep late on Saturday? Have a good one!

Yes it is finally Friday! Yeah! I love Fridays, it means that the kids only have a 1/2 day of school, that the weekend is almost here and oh it is good! I can't believe the snow we got yesterday! I bet we got 4 to 5 inches. They had to plow the roads around the apartments. Its weird. Today we have blue sky and sunshine, and no wind which is a big plus. It blows so hard sometimes the bedroom windows shake and it scares some of the kids. Gotta love Idaho. Update on the scrap booking I not only got 2 pages done I got 4 pages done yesterday YEAH! I'm not trying to make anyone feel bad it is just a goal I set for myself. Hopefully I won't get tired of doing it and then not do any for months. The pages are very very basic. But they are done and that is what counts. Have a super great weekend!!

Oh the Weather!

Today it is snowing or as Jared said "its a blizzard". The wind is blowing and it is snowing hard. He even wanted me to take him to school, which is rare cause he likes to ride the bus. I was going to the dreaded store (had to get milk) so I took him to school good thing to cause it was cold. Crazy weather anyway. Holy cow I had to get up and do something for the girls and it is a white out! I'm glad that we have no place to go tonight. Hopefully Dennie can get home from Jackson tonight. Its' crazy! Enough about the weather. Up date on the scrap booking another 2 pages will be done today! YEAH ME!!! I hope I can keep it up. The pressure is on. I even got my other "chores" done as well so I am not slacking on house work to scrapbook, which would be more fun then I could get maybe 8 pages done. Ha Ha! Greetings! Not much going on this week, I finally got out of the house on Monday, well actually on Sunday but that was at church and that doesn't count. Sharing time went o.k. Don't have to do that again for I think 3 or 4 months. Its a class presentation so my class get to help. But anyway back to Monday we (the kids and I) went to I.F. with Dennie and went shopping or looking while he was at school. It was soo good to get out. Even if we didn't buy much just to be out. It is snowing/raining today and the wind is blowing it is cold. The wind blew so hard yesterday I think some shingle blew off the roof. Glad that we don't have to pay to fix it. The bad thing is that the road is very slushy and to walk to the bus stop with Jared is very sloppy and cold. We still have a lot of snow but you can tell it is melting. Just what I love the boys come home with sopping wet boots and socks, it is a pain. Why is it that when there is puddles of water that they have to play in them on their way home? It is frustrating. Then I have to try and get them dry for the next day and if they want to play outside after school and they get the other boots wet it is really interesting. Oh well the Joys of Boys. I am sure that if I let the girls out they would do the same thing. Good thing they are too little and its too cold for them. Well I started a new scrapbook layout and was able to get 2 pages done. Yes I am excited. Hope to get 2 more pages done today. If I can get 2 pages done everyday maybe I can get caught up in a couple of years. I am so behind. Well hope your week is going good mine is so far, have lots to do before the weekend we are going to I.F. again for a wedding on Saturday and of course if we are down there we are going grocery shopping as it is so expensive up here $1.39 for a box of macs & cheese. I have to tell you what my day was like. It started out great I got to sleep in, later that I should have but Dennie got up and cooked breakfast, I know everyone thinks wow how great would that be. It was for the most part, then I got to clean up the kitchen. The day went good did laundry and odds and end stuff. Then I got a wild hair. I decided to rearrange my bedroom. I started about 2:30ish Dennie was outside working on something and he had Jared and Rachel with him. So far so good. Well he comes in done with his project me not so good the bed was covered with scrapbook stuff and I was only about 1/2 way done. Then at 6:30 I am so over whelmed I don't know what to do. The way I had the room arranged just wouldn't work, but I really didn't want to change it back but I knew it would bug me until it was back the way it was, so I uncovered the table and started moving it again, Dennie comes to see what I am doing and just laughs and walks away. It took me only 40 minutes to put it back the way it was. So I wasted 4 hours rearranging my bedroom only to put it back the way it was. What a day. The good thing is my room got cleaned in the process and I reorganized my scrapbook stuff. Maybe next week I can get some major scrap booking done. Have a great Sunday thank goodness a day of rest. Yea I can hardly wait.

Why?

Why is it that when you go somewhere everybody has to go to the bathroom? Even though you left the house five minutes ago.
Why is it when one child says they have to go everybody including the baby has to go?
Why is it when you clean your stove the very next thing you cook boils over and no more clean stove?
Why is it when you cook a nice dinner and have it almost on the table your husband calls and says "I'm going to be late tonight, I'll just eat on the way home"?
Why is it the week before your sharing time you break out in zits?
Why is it when you tell your kids "don't get in the water" they immediately go and step in the water?
I was just wondering if this kind of stuff
only happens to me.

Thursday

Greetings all those who read my blog and don't leave a comment. I'm still here up in no mans land I don't know why it feels that way but this week it does. I feel all alone with no one to talk to boo hoo, boo hoo. I must have cabin fever or something. The sun is shining today and we have almost no clouds, I think that is going to change though, I am not looking forward to that even though I do like the snow.

My sweet little baby has changed. She is starting that independence thing, yes that's good, but sometimes it can be a pain. She is starting to say things like "let me do it" and "I want to". For the most part it is good and I let her do things as she wants too, but sometimes it just isn't safe or something that she can't do and she gets upset and runs off saying "I mad at you". It really is kind of cute, but she does have a bit of a temper, where oh where does this come from??? Other than that not much going on no new scrapbook pages to brag about, no de-junking, just everyday normal things.

Snow

Yes it is snowing once again. Then what should we expect it is winter right, and then if we didn't have snow we would be complaining that we don't have snow. Are we ever happy? I'm really not complaining about the snow I really think its great. I found this quote "I don't understand why Cupid was chosen to represent Valentines Day. When I think about romance, the last thing on my mind is a short chubby toddler coming at me with a weapon."--Author unknown I know it is past valentines day but I thought it was funny.

Things I Love

I love my husband, my children, my Savior, my family, the gospel. I love sound of my children laughing, playing together, singing their favorite primary songs. I love the smell of fresh cut grass, lilacs in bloom, fresh baked bread. I love the fall time with all the changing colors, the sound of rain, the sound of "I love you mom" from each of my kids. I love the made up jokes that my kids tell. I love the smell of clean sheets dried outside. I love Valentines day, to remind me of all the things I love. Hope you all have a great day.

The Brain, The Stud, The Queen & The Baby

Let me just say that I love my children very much and I am truly thankful that they are mine. But I am living with a Brain, a Stud, a Queen, & a Baby. The Brain comes up with soo many interesting fact and questions that my head spins. Where does he come up with all of it? I know I am in for some information when he says "Mom do you know what?" The Stud always ask "Mom will the girls think that I look totally awesome?" He won't wear his snow pants to school so the girls can see his clothes. This child is only 6 what are we in for?? My sweet little daughter turns into the Drama Queen quite often, she is really quite funny (I don't let her see me laugh). Any little scratch or bump and its "mom am I bleeding?" I truly do not know where this comes from. And the Baby what can I say she is sweet. When she wants something she will say "I the baby". This come from me saying give it to the baby, I take full responsibility for it. Just a peek into my life living with these wonderful little people. Gotta love'em. Have a super great day.

Its Monday

Greetings! I survived the weekend Yea! Jonathan had his first scout camp out on Friday night. Boy what a worry that was. Thankfully his Dad was able to go with him. It was cold, wet and they ended up coming home cause Jonathan got tooo wet and tooo cold, after digging the snow cave, (they were suppose to sleep in it) and playing in the snow. Oh well there will be other times. I started on going through my junk I am sad too say I didn't get too far. I did however get one box ready for the DI and another one started. I started in the kitchen going through cupboards and well this cupboard needed scrubbing and so the whole kitchen, and the hall, and the dinning area got scrubbed. Yes it was great to get that cleaned but so much for de-junking! But I am not giving up I have too much junk and I am getting rid of it. Slowly, but I will get rid of it. Not much else going on Sunday we actually got to church not on time but earlier than the week before. The switch from 1 o'clock to 9 o'clock has been hard, we just have to keep working on it and we will be there on time. Have a great Monday. Melody

JUNK

Its Tuesday and not much happen except that I feel that I have about 1000 pounds of junk! It is every where. I thought that when we moved we got rid of it, but its back! I think it multiplies when we are not looking. I know the junk it the garage does. Watch out family mom is in the cleaning and de-junking mood! If we haven't used it in a year we don't need it right? I have a hard time getting rid of stuff cause I know I might need it someday. Ha Ha. I might as well let someone else have it who can use it instead of just storing it all. Will let you know how many boxes go to the DI. Wish me luck.

School

Here it is almost a week gone by. We had parent teacher conference last week. It can make you feel great or that you are failing as a parent. Yes I felt both of these things. Yes our boys are good students, yes they are getting good grades (for the most part) so why do I feel like a failure? No I can not do there home work for them (well I could but what would that teach them?) Yes I can encourage and help them. It is soo frustrating sometimes I feel that Jonathan's teacher is being too hard on him with his writing, then again if she knows that he can do better shouldn't she expect him to do better? I know he hurries a lot of times, how can I help him to know that it is OK to take your time and do your best? Any ideas? I guess just encourage him and have him practice writing a lot.
