Yes I know I already put something on the blog for today but had to write more. We went to the dentist today, the kids did anyway and yeah no cavities YEAH YEAH that is so cool we have never had a time when someone didn't have a cavity, yes I am excited no more dentist visits for 6 months. I can not believe the difference in the weather, the first day of spring was so nice even for us up in the Frozen North as it is now being called by me, I was looking at the pictures that I took and can't believe the change in one week oh well gotta love Idaho weather. The sun was shinning today but it was super cold about froze waiting for the bus with Jared glad we didn't have to wait long. It looks so nice out but it is deceiving cause man its cold! I know I have this thing with the weather. Sorry not much else going on I need to find some more material or something maybe I will start doing a memory or something will think on that.

Sunday SNOW

This was what we woke up to on Sunday morning. It had snowed all night. There was about 6" of new snow needless to say no one was too happy about it. It was cold and snowed almost all day.

We're Home

Yes, we are home and almost back to our normal routine, but it is the weekend so we won't be all the way back to normal until next week, but then the kids have been off school all week so it might take some time and then they have Friday off again so who knows when or if we will get back to normal, but then have I ever been normal? It was a fun week even if it was so cold the kids could not play outside, we didn't get much done, it was still fun to be someplace different for awhile and out of the normal everyday thing. But it is soooo nice to be home in my own bed (no offense Aud). Jared looked out the window this morning and said "Mom I'm sad, the snow was starting to melt and now its all covered up again." We were seeing lots of grass out back and on the sides of the house and we had a snow storm while we were gone and the grass is all covered up again. Even the kids want spring to come I think they are tired of winter. I washed all the coats, snow pants etc. on the first day of spring so they are ready to put away for the season, but we may have to get them back out, I hope not. Its the end of March and we still have lots of snow. Its funny on the way home I noticed that there is now snow or very little and we cross a certain spot and the fields, and ground have snow its like a line across the land on one side no snow on the other snow its weird. Not much else going on just finishing up last minute things getting ready for Sunday. Have a good one.

Spring Break

Well its spring break and we came down to visit family. Dennie went off to Boise for some classes for work and wouldn't you know it something goes wrong with the van! I was on the way home today and stopped at moms and noticed something dripping from the van GREAT, so to make a long story short, I am here until Friday when Dennie comes back through so he can look/fix the van oh well at least we are not stuck somewhere else it could be a lot worse.
Hope to enjoy the rest of the break being lazy (not really going to get some major cleaning done for Audi so she can be ready for when the baby comes, she just doesn't know it yet)

Its Spring?

The kids had fun digging in the snow 1st day of spring.

ITS SPRING!

I know I have wrote a lot this week about this and that so I won't bore you anymore this week, (just wait till next week ha, ha) I took some pictures of the first day of spring it was super nice even if we still have lots of snow and can't play at the park yet we still had fun. We even took a bike ride. Yeah, this kids had super fun outside today, we were out for about 3 hours it was great! Have a super weekend!

Well, my little call to the school got some action, I received a call today saying that they checked into the "sugar" stuff. They said that it really was sugar and the parents had been contacted. They also said that Jonathan had been a big help to them, now is Jonathan going to be targeted for "tattle telling"? I hope not but you never know what kids will think up or do when they think they are in trouble. We will hope for the best, good thing spring break is next week and maybe the whole thing will blow over. I am not sorry that I called, I think we need to be watchful. Rachel goes back to dance today she is so excited, she didn't want to go after her first 8 weeks of lessons for some reason, but she has been asking to go back for a while and I finally called and just happened to get in at the right time she is starting a 10 week session so it worked out good. Now what to do for the boys? Jared played T-ball last year I think he wants to play again, Jonathan wants to play soccer, but they don't start that until the fall, weird, I wish they would do a spring, early summer one but they don't and I don't want to drive 40 miles one way to have him play in the spring, so we will wait until fall. Hopefully this summer they can take swimming lessons, we shall see that is the plan so far if it all works out. Yeah it is Thursday and it is almost the weekend goodie goodie, I love the weekends even thought it means lots of straightening up and cleaning this weekend still no schedules to follow or places we have to be, just fun.

What would you do?

My six year old came home yesterday and said "Mom I need some money to take to school tomorrow", I ask why He said cause some kids are giving away sugar from Mexico" Me: what?
"Yeah they gave me some on the bus today" Me: what? The story is that these boys gave him some sugar from Mexico and if he wanted more he needed to bring some money I think he said something like 8 pennies/dollars I can't remember the exact amount but needless to say I was a little alarmed. We talked about taking things from other people even kids and not to do it.I am sure that it was sugar from Mexico but was there something else in there?
So today I called the school. The principal kind of laughed when I told him and said yeah they have different sugar in Mexico, but that it was something he would check into. HELLO do they not remember the articles in the papers and on the news around Halloween time warning parents about the dangers of people putting meth in candy? So are we to just say it won't happen here we live in a small place that is safe? I think not, it is everywhere, so do I trust the school to take care of this or should I pursue other avenues to take care of this? Do I allow the boys to keep riding the bus? I guess the best thing to do is remind the boys daily about the dangers of taking food & candy & gum from others unless I am with them. It is really scary to send your most precious possessions out into the big bad world we have and it is only going to get worse. We must safe guard our children, family, homes against the evils that are out there the only way I know how to do that is through family prayers, scripture study, family home evening, regular church attendance, educating them of the dangers that are out there.
OK I feel better getting that off my chest. I honestly think it was an innocent occurrence but still you can never be to sure.

Happy Green Day

Happy St. Patricks Day we don't do anything special but I am going to make green rice crispy treats, my family will eat these no matter what color they are, they love them! Good thing they are super easy, but I must bake something for dinner to help warm up the house. It is freezing in here. It is so frustrating the way they designed this place the heater is over by the door and in the hall, none in the living room part of the house stupid! It gets cold without the space heater I got. The first one I got started shooting sparks from the bottom, so I called and got that one replaced now the new one doesn't work. I guess I'll call again and see what they will do. I really don't think spring is coming although it did not snow last night just rained. That must be a good sign that spring is coming right? Hope so, I am SO ready for warm weather, probably because I am super freezing right now, I think I am getting sick, not good I have big plans for next week and I don't want to be sick. I think Sara is getting sick too. She cried and cried this morning maybe she got up to early maybe she was just having a bad day who knows. I hope she is not getting sick that would not be good, so far we have only had colds this winter, well Sara did have croup in December she is the only one of my kids that gets this thank goodness that is bad stuff, well just kind of scary when they are having trouble breathing but she has only had it twice hopefully she won't get it again, ya right kids get sick that's a fact of life, but we have been blessed to be so healthy and no broken bones. Don't know how I got on that kick but what comes to mind gets wrote so just beware who knows what will be wrote on this blog, you all have been warned, I ramble on and on about things just so ya know.

Monday

Its raining cold and grey today. At least it is not snow cause we still have plenty of that I am sure that if it keeps raining it will be snow tonight. Joy! Not much going on today started cleaning house getting ready for the inspections not that I don't and wouldn't be cleaning house I do cleaning every day so it doesn't get out of hand cause one day missed means disaster!!! So I clean daily. I got the stove cleaned today yeah, one major thing done now if it will only stay that way I usually boil over when I cook and I don't want to take apart the stove again before inspections next week so careful cooking for me. Only 4o thousand more things to do. Not really just seams that way. One good thing about the hole inspection thing I go through stuff and DI, not that I am not already doing that it just motivates me more to get the stuff out. I was able to get more scrap booking done today. Went through picture last night, found lots more of 2003 not that I didn't know they were there just got them out and decided which ones to do. Boy I can't wait until all my pictures I took before the digital camera are scrap booked, I am certainly more choosy about which pictures I scrapbook, if they are not good ones they get trashed, why waist the time on bad pictures, sure glad I have a digital camera if the picture doesn't turn out it is gone not even put on the computer. I got my serger back on Saturday, am I in the mood to sew not really, but Rachel is going to need some summer clothes so I will get in the mood or she will not have much to wear, maybe when all the cleaning that I think needs done is done I will pull out the patterns and start planning what she needs, cause summer is coming, I hope. School tonight for Dennie, only one more week then he is done for the year. YEAH. Then only one more year to go the end is in sight, then we can decide when and where we want to buy a home and get settled.
I can hardly wait to have our own place again and yard with a fence oh I can't wait. Boy I have really ramble on about this and that today guess there just wasn't much else going on, and I don't go anywhere or do much else. Sorry I must have a very boring life to some but its great for me. Have a good Monday or whats left of it.

Yeah its Friday

Yeah today is Friday that means school gets out early, and Dennie has the day off or he was suppose to have the day off. He got called out at about 9:30 for some service calls the boss is out of town so he gets to do it, oh well he was back by 12:30 or so. Its been a long time since he has had a Friday off. They were suppose to have every other Friday off but I can't remember when his last one was. Could that be anymore confusing?
Lots of washing to do today, yes I got my new washer last night I even did two loads before bed last night. It was kind of a necessity no G's for us and no jeans for the boys so I stayed up a little later and did some laundry. I think the washer will be great, no fancy one just the typical run of the mill washer, when we move again I will get the washer/dryer set that I really want. But then again this one will still be fairly new so I may have to wait or sell this one.
The sun is shinning but it is still cold outside doesn't help that we still have about 2 ft or more of snow on the ground but I know its melting cause the roads are wet. I really think that spring is coming I think, course I thought that last week, and on Tuesday they closed the roads cause of the blowing snow, who would have thought that in March the roads would be closed. Gotta love Idaho weather. Have a great weekend.

1-I HATE hot dogs!! Big time
2-I am deathly afraid of snakes.
3-I am a terrible speller, thank goodness for spell check.

5-I love to cook just wish I was better at it.
6-I love to can food, peaches, salsa, apple pie filling, jams etc,even if it is a lot of work.
7-I am a night person love to stay up late, sleep late, however kids have changed that a little, thank goodness I have good late sleepers.

11- I hate it when my bed is unmade, and don't mess up my bed once it is made bugs me big time.
12-I hate it when my dirty dishes are not stacked in a neat way.

15-I dream of having a bigger home, hopefully someday, not a huge one but, bigger than what we are living in now.
16-When I was growing up I wanted to have 12 kids. What happened?
17-I have a major weakness for peanut M&Ms. Too yummy!
18-I have never had a speeding ticket, hope to never get one.
19-I love grape bubble gum, used to chew this all the time in high school who knows why.
20-I had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled at the same time yes I am searching for random things.

I've done it!

Yes its true I have killed my washer! I guess all that laundry I did last week was too much for the poor thing. I think it was going anyway every now and then it would make a weird noise and I just hoped and prayed that everything would be fine, but alas it has bit the big one. Now the fun job of trying to find a washer that you can buy and bring home the same day. This bugs me more than almost anything what do these people think that we don't need the thing for a couple of days to weeks give me a break!
I hate hate going to the laundry mat. I only do this as the last possible option. I would buy new clothes for every one before going there. Not really but I do hate going there. Anyway I stayed up late last night looking at washers on the Internet and the reviews and stuff and I found one that I think we will be able to get tomorrow YEAH!! That I can handle. One day or two with out doing laundry is OK, but I will be doing tons of it on the weekend.
So I can get caught up on some other things while I am not doing laundry and get some serious scrap booking done. The girls love it when I scrap cause they get to use the punches and the scissors and the extra things that I don't use anymore to make their own "scrap" pages its fun and we get to spend extra time together doing something we all enjoy though they don't stay with it as long as I do, but what can I expect they are only 4 and 2 but hey you can never start to early right? Ha Ha

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I found out that inspections are going to be the week of spring break. Yes, they get to come in and snoop through the apartment and make sure every thing is just perfect! You have to have everything super clean, not that I mind a clean house and I think I keep a pretty clean house considering 4 kids and a husband. But really, if I forget to dust the mini blinds, or have smudges on the light switch in the boys room, I really don't think we are living in filth. No I am not kidding we have got marked down for those very things. It just stresses me out to think that they have the right to come in and look at everything, in the fridge, all the cupboards everything, not that I have anything to hide, but I mean really, what do they think we do here? Oh well, just one of those things we get to do twice a year. Can I just say GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Now I feel better.

Tuesday

Its snowing once again, the wind is blowing and it is super cold! Am I happy? Not really, I keep thinking that spring is coming but old man winter has other ideas. I must remember that the longer we have snow the cooler the summer (I hope anyway) I do still like winter, but I am ready for warmer weather, I think it's because I get "cabin fever" and want to be outside. Oh well, last year it was May before all the snow was gone. Hopefully it will be a sooner this year as we do not have as much snow as last year, but who knows. Sorry I get on a subject and go on and on about it. The boys are doing great in school, they aren't even sick of it yet. That's one good thing about cold weather, they don't mind going to school, as it gets warm they will want to be out. Rachel is starting dance again next week. She is super excited, it will be fun. Not much else going on just trying to stay warm. Have a good one

Monday

Greetings hope your Monday is as good as mine. Yesterday was a great day. The kids were great in church, we even got there in enough time to get in the chapel which really helps the kids be reverent. When we are not in the chapel they think they can play around and be noisy for some reason so it is important that we get there on time. The talks were on gratitude, it made me think am I really grateful for everything? Do I just except certain things? To make a long story short, I did some really deep thinking yesterday between church, dinner and a later appointment. I really do have so much to be thankful for. I hope that I can teach my children to not only be thankful, but to have true gratitude. I also re-read by patriarchal blessing. If you haven't done so in a while you really should. All I can say is I have a lot to work on. It makes me want to be a better wife and mother, to be a better teacher, neighbor and friend, among other things. I am not trying to preach to anybody, cause I know I have a lot to work on but just a reminder that we do have help and guidance if we only ask for it. Well the boys are home and school work calls. Scrapbook update I did get 4 pages done last week. Yeah!
Wouldn't you know when I get in the mood to sew, I had to take my serger in to be fixed. Bummer. Hope to get it back this week-end, and hopefully still be in the mood to sew.

Change

Is change hard for you? I must admit that it is for me, not little changes but big changes are hard. Like moving, having a baby, you get the idea. Well change is coming. No not big change like I just mentioned but little change. More for Dennie, but it will effect us all. I think it will be good for him. Now that I have you all wondering, he is getting a new church calling. Its not a major calling but a busy one. I can't really say much more until Sunday, not that anyone from up here reads or knows about my blog but still. Anyway I am excited for him, maybe now we can get more involved with the ward and not feel so alone. Its been a change coming up here, but even before moving his last job was super hard to go to ward functions and stuff, then he was always working up here at getting home late, so we never went then either. Hopefully that will change. Who knows. Its Friday hurray! Hopefully Dennie will be off early today. The boys get out of school early so I have only a few short hours to get "my stuff" done so I can help get homework done before the weekend and just be with the kids. Not much planned for this weekend just staying home and being lazy! So that means everything has to be done today if I am not going to do any housework or laundry on Saturday. Wish there wasn't so much snow, we could go on a picnic or a ride somewhere in the mountains. Oh I know the longer we have the snow the cooler the summer, but sometimes I would be glad if it was gone. Well gotta run get things done. Have a super GREAT weekend I know I will.

Total Gym

Yes, we finally did it. We are the proud new owners of a total gym. The kids love as the pictures tell (sorry no pictures of me until I get some cute workout clothes Ha Ha). We have been looking for some exercise equipment for a while and finally after some research we decided on the total gym and Dennie picked it up Monday night. So far I really like it. I think we will all benefit from it. If nothing else it is a great play toy for Jared and Rachel ha ha. They drive me crazy sometimes hopefully the newness will wear off soon. Anyway I think it was a good investment and will get lots of use. ( Don't burst my bubble yet)

Pettiskirt Trial

Now don't judge to harsh. I had to make a trial pettiskirt to even see if I could make one. I think it turned out OK . I can see the reason behind using the other type of fabric, but the girls like it. I was going to make it for Rachel, but it was a little to short for her so when I make another one I will have to adjust the measurements so it will be a little bit longer for her. The girls both loved how it twirled so I think they will be a big hit. Maybe the next one won't take all afternoon to do. I think they are super cute. Have a good one.

I am sad to say I did not get my two pages done yesterday. I did laundry 8 loads! But some of them were small loads, the girls clothes. Today still more laundry maybe by tomorrow I will be done, maybe if no ones wears any more clean clothes! Ha ha I read somewhere that you should never try to get you laundry all done cause you never will, cause we all wear clothes everyday and you will always have dirty laundry. Who know why I am on the laundry kick, maybe cause that is what I have been doing for the last 2 days. Not that I mind, I like having the laundry caught up. Enough of the laundry. I was on the computer way to much yesterday I was on
facebook. I had a super good laugh, no I am not being rude, it just was surprising to me who was on there and how many people I knew. Too funny. I am thinking about changing the name of my blog cause it is more about me than the family, but who knows will have to think about that some more. Must run and get things done. Have a great Tuesday!

What did you do today?

Its Monday and boy was I busy or maybe it just seemed like it to me. I did laundry, and more laundry today. It is amazing how much you have when you miss a Saturday of doing laundry. No I am not sorry we went to I.F. it was fun being out and even going grocery shopping wasn't bad either. I was thinking of all the stuff I did today before noon and wow I really was busy. And now I have a minute to play on the computer and so I am. I really want to make the girls a pettiskirt, so hopefully the next time we go to town I can get fabric and make them one. Well the wash needs changed and more clothes to fold yeah I can hardly wait.

Mom I need some HELP!

Saturday dawned clear and crisp. Dennie and I were laying in bed waiting for more hot water, (the boys beat us to the shower) Jonathan comes in and says "Mom I need some help" He had his finger stuck in a PVC pipe he had used to make a bow out of in cubs scouts last summer. Dennie asked him why he had his finger in there. He said that it always came out before. It was pretty funny he had a 4 foot pipe on his middle finger. I grabbed the camera and Dennie grabbed the saw. He had to cut the pipe off and the pour cooking oil down around his finger to get the pipe off. I wished I had got a picture with the whole length of pipe on it. Too funny. He was a good sport about it, and could even laugh about when it was all over.
