Bad Day
Ever have a bad day? I know stupid question. Monday was a bad day my poor kids. It didn't matter who did it, what it was, or why, I was not happy. I wonder what my kids think. Maybe I really don't want to know. Hopefully there will be no more days like that. I can hope right? I have decided that sometimes I need to take a time out for just me. Even if it is only a walk to the mailbox. In other news Tuesday we had no school. The temp was somewhere around -22 and that is not with the wind chill. So no school. I must admit I though oh no its going to be another bad day my poor kids. Surprisingly it was a great day the kids played together, I was able to work on some scrap booking and we even got laundry and some cleaning done. Wow. It really helps when mom is in a better mood. So it makes me wonder what happened on Monday why was I so crabby? Who knows I guess it was just one of those days. There is no school again tomorrow and it is going to be a good day (positive thinking). So that is my new goal to always think positive and find the good in every situation. Will let you know how it is going.

Birthday Girl
It is hard believe that our baby girl is 2! Where has the time gone? We celebrated her birthday at home. It is fun to watch her do different things cause she thinks she is as big as her brothers and sister, but knows she is the baby and will let them know it if things don't go her way. In her own cute way she says "I the baby".
Here are some pictures of her special day. what a cute little love bug.
More Snow
On Thursday it started to snow. I believe it snowed all night. In the morning this is what I saw. We got I think about 7 inches. I don't think it snowed to much on Friday, however it was snowing Saturday and boy did it snow. We drove down to the Falls, and it snowed all the way there. Here are some pictures of Pine Creek pass. It was sure pretty, but the drive was a little scary. It started snowing today after we got home from church and it is still snowing. Yes I love winter. I took more pictures of the park in front of our home, notice the picnic tables the pictures on the 2oth you can see the tables, now you can not see one of the tables and the other one is mostly covered (just a little side note that we noticed.)

A Little bit about us
I was born and raised in Blackfoot, Idaho. My husband was raised in Idaho Falls. After we were married we lived in Blackfoot, then moved to the big town of Shelley. We lived there for 12 years. Then we moved to the beautiful Teton valley area. Boy what a change. Not only do I feel we live in the boonies but we went from a house and a yard to an apartment and a community yard. The plus side to this is we are together as a family now instead of living apart. I believe we have all adjusted to our new life and area. (we have been here for little over a year) I still think we live in the boonies. We have four great kids. We were unable to have children for the first nine years of our marriage. Then we were blessed with a very special boy, he was an answer to a lot of prayers. Then 5 years later we were blessed with another boy. Boys are a Joy! Then 2 years later a little princess came to us followed by another princess 2 years later. Yes we are truly blessed. After not knowing if we would ever have children we have four. Yes, we have our trials but life is good, and we are enjoying it.

Family Fun
Saturday we took the kids sledding. We went to a place by Mike Harris campground. It was fun the hill wasn't to big but big enough for the kids to have fun. Sara only went down two times and she had had enough. Jared took his snowboard, he does really quite well for never doing it. Jonathan would start going straight and then he would twist and turn the whole way down. Rachel even enjoyed going down by herself. We all had a fun day.

Winter Time
Its the middle of January and we have snow. Jonathan started winter sports this week, he is skiing up at Targhee. He really enjoys it. Jared lost his first tooth this week, he was really excited. It changes his smile a lot. Well there is not much more happening around here. I have been working on scrapbooks and have done several pages in Jonathans book (I am redoing his book in 12 x 12) and a new one for the three oldest kids. They have turned out great.
