Here I sit with nothing to do. HA HA well OK I have tons to do and no water to do it with. Dishes, laundry and cleaning will just have to wait. Hopefully they get what ever it is fixed and the water back on, only 1 more hour to go. I can handle it. Why is it when you don't have something (like water) you want and need to clean, do dishes and laundry, (course with a family of 6 I am always doing laundry) so here I sit not doing much, the kids are fed, and almost dressed after all it 11:00 we take it real EASY in the summer, and why not if we aren't going anywhere why not be comfy?

On another note, something that I have been wondering about for a while, why is it that when you see people at church they are oh Hi how are you, but when you see them other places they totally ignore you even turn their head the other way to avoid talking to you? Just wondering if this has ever happened to you, or are you guilty of turning your head? This really doesn't offend me just makes me wonder what, why, and how come. Oh well guess that is their problem I must just be sure that I am not turning my head away from others.

Its almost the weekend and not for sure yet what I am doing, hopefully my plans will go through but not sure yet if it will all work out. Have to finish up sharing time and get everything ready to go I better get busy, busy, busy, have a good one! Melody

Its almost the end of June and summer has officially started. Hopefully it will stay warm now. We haven't had rain since Sunday, and it looks like another nice day today. Not much else going on, just playing and enjoying the summer trying to get into a routine but it has been hard I like the kids to do some "school" stuff over the summer so they don't loose what they have learned, not so much now for Jonathan, but Jared really needs to keep on reading and practicing his writing some days it is a real challenge, but then again it is summer so I don't get to crazy about it. Random Things this week

I love it when I don't get my pictures in right. Oh well Jared had his last T-Ball game yesterday, I am sooooo glad it was an interesting year to say the least. This picture was taken on the next to last game, the ones I took last night couldn't be posted.

This is a rainbow that was out front a couple of days ago, it was a complete rainbow but I couldn't get it all. The kids loved seeing it. It really was quite spectacular, it was even a double rainbow so cool. I just love rainbows.

This was taken at garden class. The kids were to bring something old of their dads Rachel took an old boot and Jared took a hat. They painted them and then got to plant flowers in them I was kind of shocked I thought they would plant in a container and then put them in the items, but no deal its kind of funny, they had so much fun, they are really enjoying going to this little class every week. Don't know what is up with Jared, he is in to making weird faces all the time, not just for pictures its super funny to me, we can be talking about anything and all of a sudden he makes a face, I try not to laugh cause it can make him upset but most of the time he just laughs with us what a kid.

Monday

Its Monday again and its very late almost Tuesday. We had a busy but fun weekend. We played all weekend. We went to Utah on Sunday we went with Dennie's parents, and his brother and his family. It was a fun fast trip next time we are going for longer, want to take the kids to a few fun places. The kids travel great thank goodness if not we wouldn't go very far or very often. The worse thing is when they drink to much and have to stop ever ten minutes (not really just seems that way) the little sneaks we left Idaho Falls and by the time we got to the rest stop on the Malad pass they had had THREE drinks each! No not just three drinks of one juice but three juice boxes. The cooler was in the back of the van and they were sneaky and was able to get them with out us knowing it until Jared said "I have to go BAD!" That was when I ask him how much have you had to drink? Oh well what can you do after the fact? All in all it was a good day super long but good oh and don't forget the rain, we hit a really big rain storm on the way home, I was glad I wasn't driving, thankfully it wasn't dark yet so that made it easier. More rain today as if you all don't know that, and more rain this week, oh well that's how it goes. The kids have their "garden class" tomorrow they are going to do fathers day gift should be interesting hope to get some pictures. They really enjoyed it last week, its something fun for them to do, and even better its FREE I like those type of activities. Melody

Wednesday

Today brought cloudy skies, wind and scattered rain, so I thought ahhh today is a good day to make bread, I hate to use the oven and heat the already hot house, but with the weather the way it is it made today perfect. I also made some cinnamon twist instead of rolls, the kids loved the change. We also got caught up on all the chores, cleaning & laundry the kids were great, I was able to get everything done and no fighting amazing, wish I knew the secret they played together great, which doesn't always happen but today it did so it made it that much better. Wish I could share my yummy bread and twists with all of you, but this will have to do.





Tonight brings T-Ball again hope it doesn't rain, but we have played in the rain before, its just so cold with the wind blowing. Oh well not many more games and we're done. Have a good one. Melody

Monday

Its the start of summer vacation, and we are just taking it easy today. I figure that they need at least one day to do what ever they want,(they just don't know it) So tomorrow comes with lots of things going on. We have a busy week again and that is good, love it when we are busy it gives the kids something to look forward to. Have a great one. Melody

Its Official

Its official the end of school is here! YEAH! It was a VERY busy week. Not only did we have the end of school madness, my poor babe broke her collar bone, the official name is clavicle, she fell off the bench and landed just right. Poor thing we didn't even realize it until the next day, she complained of her neck hurting and when we would pick her up she would cry, after her shower on Wednesday I saw a bump by her collar bone and then I knew what had happened. So she is in a brace type thing for 4 weeks. Thankfully she has been very good about wearing it we only take it off to shower and then right back on. Thursday brought fifth grade graduation, I wasn't really prepared for that, they play the graduation theme and hand out certificates, it kind of got to me especially when they said "we present the class of 2016" WOW it was neat. Middle school next I'm not ready for that, good thing I have the summer to prepare myself. Then we had Kindergarten fun day/graduation they got certificates too. We were super busy and took lots of pictures. Hope you enjoy!

Jam

FROM THIS . . . .


TO THIS in just 5 easy steps.
I made my first EVER rhubarb jam. I have made other jam but this was a first. Dennie wasn't sure why I would want to make jam out of rhubarb, but it turned out GREAT even he liked it. Oh and we have already went through one jar it was made yesterday. The kids had to have an after school snack of bread and jam, now if I can only get bread made this week YUM.

Its JUNE already!

It really doesn't feel like it should be June 1st! The kids are not out of school yet only 4 more days. We have never had to go to school past Memorial Day before, (or that I can remember) so it still seams like May. Then the weather has been cool and rainy so it really doesn't feel like June, only 20 more days to the official start of summer. What a week this will be lots of running around, I love it when we're busy (keeps us out of TROUBLE) ha ha like I get into trouble. Lots of end of school programs and such, I can hardly wait to be done and FREE so to speak. I have found a few summer ideas to get the kids involved in hope it all works out it will be fun for them and they will have something to look forward to to keep their days busy. We are getting rid of our cable TV, so the only thing the TV will be used for is movies and playing the Wii, it will be an interesting summer, but there is nothing on TV but CRAP these days and who wants to pay for CRAP? Not me, so the decision was made, it maybe a tough couple of weeks getting everyone use to it but I am not giving in and going back I think it will be so much better for us. Have a GREAT Monday.
