On Rachel's birthday we said we would get her a bike in the spring, why get a bike in November when its cold and snowy? not that its much better now but anyway we finally got her one. She was so excited she could hardly wait for us to get home. That was on Monday, its been so cold the last couple of days and then is snowed AGAIN yesterday that she hasn't got much riding in but someday sooner or later it will be warm enough to play outside again and enjoy bike riding.

Tuesday brought a court of Honor for the scouts. Jonathan got several merit badges and a couple of rank advancements GOOD JOB son!

Why do they have to grow up so fast??

We have noticed something over that last couple of weeks okay I'll be honest Dennie noticed it first and then called my attention to it. Our little Sara LOVES to copy Rachel. It doesn't matter what Rachel is doing or saying or acting Sara will copy her. It really is quite cute and so far it doesn't bug Rachel. Today I did Sara's hair first and then I did Rachel's, sometimes they are the same but a lot of the times its different. Not today. Rachel wanted what we call bug knots, Sara had to have her hair re-done just like Rachel's she wanted bug knots too, now you wouldn't think that is a big deal but Sara doesn't like her hair done (even though we do hair every day) and she wants it quick and easy so I was sure she wouldn't want it re-done, but she had to be like Rachel. They play together so good and are always telling each other "your my best friend" I hope the bond they have now will stay with them forever as "best friends" and sisters.

OBSESSION!

These are only some of the ones I have done didn't think I should put them all on here, and there is more in the works, I need to get some orange and purple and blue and a different red oh and maybe some more white ones. I'm not real crazy about the red, white and blue ones but Rachel wanted some 4th of July ones, maybe I'll get some different flowers and make some new ones we'll have to see.

Monday update

We have been busy, busy, busy. Trying to get projects done and stuff organized what a job! I have way to much junk STILL!! I swear in multiplies when left alone for any amount of time. UGH! Now that the weather is nice the kids enjoy playing outside, (we were outside almost all day yesterday that is after church) the kids slept great last night that is one nice thing about spring they are tired of being in doors all winter and love to be outside and play hard and sleep good. Its been so warm the last couple of days that the snow is GONE!! Well okay there still is a little bit in the front yard and some way in the back by the fence, but other than that its gone. Which means time to get out the warm weather clothes. That was a project! I know tomorrow is Tuesday and we will get SNOW!

Today also brought another project. I have been wanting to make some flower clips for the girls and today I was finally able to get some done. Rachel was my helper, it was really fun she helped put the colors together and knows just what she wants. All in all I think they turned out very cute. This could become another obsession with me they are super easy and fun to make. The only bad thing is they don't have anything yellow or purple, hummmm maybe a trip to the store will solve that little problem HA HA HA. Have a good Monday-----Melody.

UGH again!

Just a little up date, those flowers that bravely poked there heads out of the ground got covered with over 3 inches of SNOW!! Yes its true we got more snow today and it snowed ALL day covering all the grass that was showing and the driveway it was dry and now its all muddy again. Oh well what can we do? Just thought you wanted to know.

The kids had a half day of school on Wednesday, so after we picked them up and had lunch this is what we did. We made a snowman (the first one of the winter) and a snow fort it was so much fun it was warm enough that we didn't even need coats on. We all were sunburned pretty good.

April snow showers

Okay I know its April, the calendar says it is why then are we still in WINTER?! I swear we got a foot and a half of NEW SNOW! Its been snowing all day too. I had to go to the store ( gotta have milk) I had to dig my way to the van. Jared left the snow shovel out front and I walked in snow to my knees to get it and then had to find the dang thing! Needless to say we have a LOT of new snow, and just when it was starting to melt and we could see grass out back and even some in the front yard. Oh well not much we can do about it so we might as well just enjoy it. MAYBE if I get brave we will make a snowman after the boys get home from school. I will take some pictures and post them tomorrow. Meanwhile I am going to stay warm and watch some movies with the girls. Melody

Easter

Ahhh Easter, the time when we celebrate newness of life, spring time and of course the Resurrection of our Savior. We always do the "Easter gifts" early and have an egg hunt on Saturday, this year we colored eggs on Friday night. I should have boiled more the kids love to color them, and they all like to eat them, so much for deviled eggs for Easter dinner.
