Monday

Its the start of summer vacation, and we are just taking it easy today. I figure that they need at least one day to do what ever they want,(they just don't know it) So tomorrow comes with lots of things going on. We have a busy week again and that is good, love it when we are busy it gives the kids something to look forward to. Have a great one. Melody

Its Official

Its official the end of school is here! YEAH! It was a VERY busy week. Not only did we have the end of school madness, my poor babe broke her collar bone, the official name is clavicle, she fell off the bench and landed just right. Poor thing we didn't even realize it until the next day, she complained of her neck hurting and when we would pick her up she would cry, after her shower on Wednesday I saw a bump by her collar bone and then I knew what had happened. So she is in a brace type thing for 4 weeks. Thankfully she has been very good about wearing it we only take it off to shower and then right back on. Thursday brought fifth grade graduation, I wasn't really prepared for that, they play the graduation theme and hand out certificates, it kind of got to me especially when they said "we present the class of 2016" WOW it was neat. Middle school next I'm not ready for that, good thing I have the summer to prepare myself. Then we had Kindergarten fun day/graduation they got certificates too. We were super busy and took lots of pictures. Hope you enjoy!

Jam

TO THIS in just 5 easy steps.
I made my first EVER rhubarb jam. I have made other jam but this was a first. Dennie wasn't sure why I would want to make jam out of rhubarb, but it turned out GREAT even he liked it. Oh and we have already went through one jar it was made yesterday. The kids had to have an after school snack of bread and jam, now if I can only get bread made this week YUM.

Its JUNE already!

It really doesn't feel like it should be June 1st! The kids are not out of school yet only 4 more days. We have never had to go to school past Memorial Day before, (or that I can remember) so it still seams like May. Then the weather has been cool and rainy so it really doesn't feel like June, only 20 more days to the official start of summer. What a week this will be lots of running around, I love it when we're busy (keeps us out of TROUBLE) ha ha like I get into trouble. Lots of end of school programs and such, I can hardly wait to be done and FREE so to speak. I have found a few summer ideas to get the kids involved in hope it all works out it will be fun for them and they will have something to look forward to to keep their days busy. We are getting rid of our cable TV, so the only thing the TV will be used for is movies and playing the Wii, it will be an interesting summer, but there is nothing on TV but CRAP these days and who wants to pay for CRAP? Not me, so the decision was made, it maybe a tough couple of weeks getting everyone use to it but I am not giving in and going back I think it will be so much better for us. Have a GREAT Monday.
