Its JUNE already!

It really doesn't feel like it should be June 1st! The kids are not out of school yet only 4 more days. We have never had to go to school past Memorial Day before, (or that I can remember) so it still seams like May. Then the weather has been cool and rainy so it really doesn't feel like June, only 20 more days to the official start of summer. What a week this will be lots of running around, I love it when we're busy (keeps us out of TROUBLE) ha ha like I get into trouble. Lots of end of school programs and such, I can hardly wait to be done and FREE so to speak. I have found a few summer ideas to get the kids involved in hope it all works out it will be fun for them and they will have something to look forward to to keep their days busy. We are getting rid of our cable TV, so the only thing the TV will be used for is movies and playing the Wii, it will be an interesting summer, but there is nothing on TV but CRAP these days and who wants to pay for CRAP? Not me, so the decision was made, it maybe a tough couple of weeks getting everyone use to it but I am not giving in and going back I think it will be so much better for us. Have a GREAT Monday.

PBS is not too bad. Of course they have a few shows that I don't like for the kids to watch, but for the most part, most of the shows are ok, if the kids want to watch during the day. I figure I am going to keep them so busy with outside projects, they will be exhausted and not care about watching or playing anything! So glad we are out of school. It has been ok so far.

I am with you all the way. We have what they call "basic cable" which is the free stations (abc, cbs, & nbc) a few pbs stations, history, discovery, and the rest of spanish speaking. We only have it because it came with our high-speed internet. We rarely watch TV and when we do it is usually Discovery or the History channel. I figure the TV is a tool for watching DVDs. If I want to watch a show I can find it online and watch the episode without the vulgar commercials.
